    Flexologist

Hi, my name is Joe. I am a graduate of the University of Maine (2008). I have been an accountant for the last 13 years. In my downtime, I work with local High School youth as both a Football and Lacrosse coach and I pride myself in shaping these young athletes. I am also a certified Personal Trainer with a background in sports recovery. From my experience as a coach and trainer, I truly believe that stretching is the lost puzzle piece in both fitness and sport performance as it can aid in both muscle and injury recovery and even more importantly injury prevention. I can't wait to help YOU increase your range of motion, flexibility and overall wellness as a Flexologist here at StretchLab!

After years in sales, sales management & the food/beverage industry, I have taken my passions for yoga, wellness, & exercise and given them my full time attention. After practicing yoga for 15 years, I became a certified yoga instructor and Reiki I practitioner in 2017. I also represent a USDA certified organic CBD manufacturer and believe in the safe and significant benefits it has on the body. Along with a regular yoga practice and fitness schedule, I am an avid skier. My other passions are gardening, cooking and my walking in the woods with my awesome Australian Shepard. Working as a Flexoligist with StretchLab is an amazing addition to my expertise in touching & working with the human body. Our stretch sessions are proven to enable clients to excel in their functional and fitness goals. I look forward to working together with you by creating an individual plan that will meet and exceed your expectations of the StretchLab experience.

    Flexologist

Hi, my name is Alejandro! I graduated from Salem State University with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in 2019 and graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a Master's degree in Applied Exercise Physiology in 2022. I have over five years of experience in the Physical Therapy setting as I enjoy helping people recover and get back on their feet. Through that experience, I have learned that proper and specific stretching can speed up the recovery and healing process. Stretching has a ton of benefits both physically and mentally! I also believe that exercise and stretching is medicine which can help heal all aspects of someone's life. I am very passionate about exercise, stretching, and the anatomy & physiology of the body. I grew up playing sports such as Baseball and Basketball and if "you feel good, you play good" and by being a Flexologist, I can help apply that to all your activities of daily living and quality of life.

To say I have a varied background is an understatement. I am a former NCAA Division I wrestler for Boston University with a degree in Film and Broadcasting. I was nominated for an Emmy in 2010 for my work on NOVA ScienceNow. I am an assistant wrestling and track and field coach at Phillips Academy Andover. I love to stay fit and like to do a little of everything. I run ultra-marathons, compete in Olympic distance triathlons, downhill ski, cross country ski, water ski, fat bike, and lift weights. I realized many years ago that stretching was going to be an integral way of preventing injuries and increasing range of motion to improve performance. I can definitively say that stretching has saved me from long term injuries and has improved my performance in many of my activities. My passion is leading people to a place where they are pain free, and able to do all the things they love, whether that is playing with the kids or competing in the Boston Marathon. I am also a certified lifeguard, Precision Nutrition Level – 1 nutrition coach, dad of 2, and lover of bad puns.

Throughout years of being a multi sport athlete, every season, I myself overused my body quite a bit. Overtime I learned more about caring for my body with preventative stretching, maintenance to heal injuries, and the importance of relieving tension in areas I used often. I went through physical therapy and knew this type of health field was for me. I completed my Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science followed by my Masters Degree in Exercise Science and Sports Science at Merrimack College. While I was in school I experienced working in the field as a personal trainer, physical therapy aide, as well as working with the geriatric population in a memory care facility. Improving the lives of others in any way possible is something I aim for everyday. Becoming a flexologist at StretchLab allows me to proudly take that step of educating others while improving their health and providing comfort during their day to day life.
